Farewell Carousel

"Farewell Carousel", the first single from our upcoming EP is out now! What began as a handful of rough-edged demos became “BON VIVANT BALL” - five stories unfolding inside the same surreal dive bar, where every character is searching for connection, escape, or one last chance.

This track started as a riff that reminded me of Roy Orbison and a strange opening line about a vial and a pentagram from our guitarist Bryan Wolf. It was fun to workshop the structure of this track with the band, including an extended solo section that gives each member a chance to rock out.

The song is about acknowledging when a cycle of self-destruction has taken you too far, past the outer limits, and you have to make a choice: hang on for dear life or stop the ride.

Look for more singles and the full Bon Vivant Ball EP releasing throughout the fall.

Lyrics:

Excuse me, it appears you've got a vial and a pentagram in your purse
Lit fuse, I call action, the future's ending and we're gunning reverse
When the fine line contradicts me, it's a valid point that I'm cursed
Farewell (farewell) carousel (carousel), give me my money's worth

Rumor has it that the habit has only gotten worse
An excuse, I refuse to accept somnambular rendezvous
When your insides contradict me, it's a valid point that I'm cursed
Farewell (farewell) carousel (carousel), Irish goodbye this earth

Insides request me
Farewell carousel
Hard sell blasphemy
Carousel fare thee well

When the fine line contradicts me, it's a valid point that I'm cursed
Farewell (farewell) carousel (carousel), Irish goodbye this earth
Insides request me
Farewell carousel
Looks like misery
Carousel fare thee well
